About Our Club

We strongly believe in a family friendly club, somewhere not only the students feel welcome and at ease, but the parents and extended families of our students. We welcome visitors and people are free to stay within the dojo to watch or from the viewing gallery. In our time so far, we like to think that we have established a good bond with our parents. They are all keen and enthusiastic and are known to join in when we have "fun lessons" and create a great social atmosphere afterwards. We encourage parent participation and believe that good communication between instructors, students and family is extremely important.

Reikan Karate is run purely as a club and not a business. We have a board of five adult members plus a youth representative, that assess our performance and decide the best way forward. We have a Child Protection Policy, Constitution and Equal Opportunities Policy, copies of which are carried by both Senior Instructors.
